Miss Thelma Lee Leatherwood
of Santo passed away in the Min-
eral Wells Hospital Saturday night
following a serious illness. The
body was taken to Santo fbt burial.
Axel Anderson of Geary. Okla.,
died in Mineral Walla Saturday
morning following a long illness.
He had come to . Mineral Wells
for his health. R. H. Beetham had
charge of the funeral.

Garrett And Day
Captured
Bill Garrett, 25, and Henry Day
20, of Dallas, who broke out of the
Waxahachie jail Monday, were
captured by Dallas detectives and
deputy sheriffs Wednesday night
in a patch of woods near Rein-
hardt. Garrett was wounded in
the right arm when disregarding an
order to halt by Detective Jack
Archer. They were taken to the
county jail and officers at Waxa-
hachie were notified. They had
little chance, to escape. Their
hideout was surrounded by 17
officers.
Brackeen Huddleston, the third
prisoner who escaped with Garrett
and Day, was sought by detectives
who were hot on his "bail.
