Yes there is life after class
Students coming in to McMurry
are wondering what can be done
to fill the hours between classes
and studying. An answer can be
readily found in the various
service clubs and organizations
on the campus.
One such organization which is
composed of all full-time students
is McMurry's Student Associa-
tion. This organization exists to.
represent students' ideas and
opinions as well as promote
student social life. Student Asso-
ciation has officers providing
leadership in the form of McMur-
ry Student Government or MSG.
These officers are elected by the
student body as a whole and
welcome student involvement.
The Wah Wahtaysee is a wo-
men's organization which serves
McMurry in many capacities vary-
ing from hostess groups to civic
affairs representatives. Students
with a freshman standing and an
average of "C" or higher are
eligible for election into this club.
The men's counterpart to this
organization is Alpha Phi Omega.
This national service fraternity
has as its primary purpose service
to the college in all areas of civic
life.
McMurry's Christian Life Fel-
lowship works toward directing
religious life and service on the
campus. They coordinate such
committees as the Worship Com-
mittc Missions Committc Resi-
dence Hall Bible Studies Prayer
Committee Fellowship of Christ-
ian Athletes Fellowship for Mar-
ried Persons and Kappa Delta
Sigma. Christian Life Fellowship
encourages all students to be-
come active participant in religi-
ous service.

Lamda is a newly formed organi-
zation which consists of any
students over twenty-five or mar-
ried who wish to serve McMurry
on the campus and in the com-
munity. Watch for notices about organi-
zational meetings for all these
groups.
For those students musically
inclined McMurry offers the
opportunity to become a member
of several outstanding organiza-
tions in this area. The McMurry
Indian Band not only provides
excellent music for numerous
college events they make at least
two major tours each year. The
McMurry Chanters are a choral
organization consisting of music
majors and students form other
areas who wish to share their
choral abilities with other on
campus. There arc also five
musical ensembles at McMurry
which provide entertainment for
social and professional organiza-
tions. A great portion of memories of
college life stem from the social
activities and organizations at-
tended. Students who choose to
become involved in one or more of
the service organizations at Mc-
Murry will find their lives much
more rewarding.
