The McMurry Indi-
ans traveled to Mississippi
last weekend to take on
the Choctaws and
squeezed by with a 28-27
win.
The Indians knew
going in that every aspect
of the game would be im-
portant. The special
teams played a big part in
the game and executed
their plays very well by
McMurry.
The defense held
the Choctaws out of the
end zone when they had
to and the offense pro-
vided big plays when they
had to.
Running back
Chris Rodgers scored on a
40-yard run. Quarterback
Braxton Shaver threw a
30-yard touchdown pass
to Jeremy Wallace. Re-
ceiver Kiedric Dixon
caught an eight-yard
touchdown pass and Rory
Peacock came through as
well for a McMurry two-
point conversion.
The win gives
McMurry a 6-1 overall
record and still keeps
them undefeated in con-
ference at 4-0. Their next
game will be this weekend
against Austin College for
Homecoming.
