June 25.
Inv esugauon indicates that burglars broke into and entered the building sometime
during the nighttime hours. Burglars attempted to remove a safe from the premises,
but were unsuccessful. However, an undetermined amount of money was taken.
Based on evidence auhe scene, police are looking for two males to interview who
w ere bel ieved to have been occupants of a white vehicle near the scene.
Any information concerning the burglary or the two males being sought could
be w orth up to S1,000.

SPICY PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
1/2 cup butter or margarine at room temperature
1/2 cup Imperial Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Imperial Granulated Sugar

1 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 /4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
slivered almonds
Thoroughly cream butter or margarine with the brown sugar and granulated
sugar Beal in egg and peanut butler, stir in flour that has been combined with
the salt, soda and spices, combining well. Using hands oiled with butter, roll
dough into 1 ” balls; flatten them on floured board and cut into rounds or into
star shapes. Transfer cookies to greased cookie sheet. Place slivered almonds
on each point of stars or around edge of cookie rounds. Bake in preheated 375
degree F. Oven 12 to 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly on wire cooking rack.
Store in airtight container. Yield: about 4 dozen cookies.
