weekend but due to her illness

Graham and Mr. and Mrs.
Marvin Pettit of Albany visited
in the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Johnny Huffman last week.
Visiting his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Gene Teague Saturday
were their son, Harrell Teague
and girl friend of Waco.
A number from here attended
the annual singing at Haskell
Sunday at the American Legion.
Attending were Mrs. Bob
Rankin, Mrs. Ella Ash, Mrs.
Anna Mae Nash, Mr. and Mrs.
Belton Redwine and Ima
Hargrove.
Mrs. Lora Whitaker of Henri-
etta had dinner with her sister,
Mrs. John Brockman, and Mr.
Brockman Sunday. She also
visited another sister that
afternoon in Stamford, Mrs.
Ethel Allan.
Mr. and Mrs. Truman
Burrows of Fort Worth visited
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff
Burrows, and Mrs. Riley
Condron and family.
R. C. Burkhalter came for his
parents, the Bob Burkhalters,
who will visit them for awhile.
Mr. Bob is not very well.
Visiting in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Glenn last
weekend were Mrs. Glenn’s
mother, Mrs. Beulah Sanders,
and sister, Mrs. Leon Corbin,
and son Mike of Albany.
Weekend visitors in the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Whitaker were Mr. and Mrs. Ike
Featherston and son of Lub-
bock. They went to Fort Belknap
where they had lunch.
Mrs. Evelyn Bibbs recently
had her daughter, Martha
Carrol Clifford, and children
here from Fairbanks, Alaska for
an extended visit. Mrs. Bibbs
reports that the weather in
Alaska during the summer is
especially nice, but that she
doesn’t want to live there.
Peggy Odham of Morgan City
attended the funeral of her
uncle, Fred Harrell, and
remained a few days for a visit
with her sister, Mary Lou
Harvick, her father, Jack
Rankin, and other relatives.
Glen Cooper and Lisa Liles of
Waco visited their parents over
the weekend.
Mrs. John Grable spent the
weekend in Abilene visiting
relatives.
Keith Fightmaster of Cisco
Junior College was home over
the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Craft have
returned from a visit in St.
Louis, Mo. with their daughter,
Mrs. Jim Denton, and Dr.
Denton.
Brown Smith of Amrillo spent
the weekend here with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Toby
Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Glenn,
Bert Davis and children atten-
ded a fish fry at the James
Sanders place on the river
Saturday night. The fish were
caught down on the Texas
border.
Mrs. Laura Shermon is
visiting her son and family in
Texarkana for a few days.
Visiting in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Doyle Wells over the
weekend was Mrs. Wells’
mother from Archer City.
The Ted Taylor girls were
here Sunday to visit Mrs. C. C.
Condron and relatives. Vesta
lives in Jacksboro and Nada is
from Australia. Nada is visiting
her mother who is in a rest home
at Jacksboro. She is also visiting
other family members.
Mrs. Zelda Carpenter had a
nice week’s visit with her
daughter, Delinda, while she
was in Norman, Okla. on
business.
Tommy Osburn of Hurst was
a weekend visitor of his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Condron.
Sunday visitors were Mrs. Doris
Saddler and Mrs. Max Pevey of
Abilene.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Pruitt
spent the weekend in Wichita
Falls visiting Terry Landers.
Visitors in the home of Mrs.
T. J. Hudson were Mr. and Mrs.

Don Hudson of Seymour, Mr.
and Mrs. Gene Hudson and
family and Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Hudson and son. The Tom
Hudsons will be going back to
Houston this week for Brent to
receive more treatment after
having been here about ten
days.
Sunday visitors in the Johnny
Huffman home were Mr. and
Mrs. Cadman Henson of
Graham and Mr. and Mrs.
Marvin Pettit of Albany.
Mrs. Huffman reports that
her sister, Mrs. Mitchell, is still
in the Seymour hospital and is
not doing very well. Some of
their children were here to see
her at the hospital and to be
with Mr. Mitchell at home.
Mrs. Guy Huston and Mrs.
Glenn McWhorter made a
business trip to Wichita Falls
Saturday.
Mrs. Glenn McWhorter and
her sisters are spending a few
days in Lubbock and Clovis, N.
M.
Mrs. Oleta Timmons is home
after visiting in Odessa with her
daughter, Cindy. Her daughter,
Cindy Etter, and son, Cody,
were here over the weekend
with Cody remaining for a
longer visit with his grand-
mother.
Mrs. Angie Griffin and Mrs.
Higgins visited Murlene Perry
at the Stamford hospital Satur-
day. Mrs. Higgins says she was
not resting too well.
Mr. and Mrs. George Dodson
and son, Richie, of Burkburnett
spent the weekend with her
grandmother, Mrs. Gee Parrott,
and visited at the nursing home
with her mother, Ada Collins.
Mrs. Nell Brockman is back
from a visit with her daughter,
Billineal Neely in Lawton, Okla.
Mr. and Mrs. Carvel Howsley
of Lubbock spent the weekend
with his mother and other
relatives.
Among those home from
college over the weekend were
Harry Hibbitts, Chuck Cypert,
Harrold Teague, Keith Fight-
master, Bobby Redwine, Sylvia
Morrison, and probably others.
Mr. and Mrs. George Clark
Kunkel of Dallas spent the
weekend with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. George Kunkel, and
visited other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Wells of
Hurst were Friday night visitors
of his mother, Mrs. J. W. Wells.

Mrs. N. L. B. Davis and two
sisters, Mrs. T. H. Cook of Blum
and Mrs. O. V. Nickels of
Meridian, returned Monday
from a weekend trip to Garden
City, Kansas, where they visited
another sister, Mrs. Irvin
