The family of Mrs. Violet
Williams of Goldthwaite
have our sympathy. Also
the family of (Laverne) Mrs.
Tommy Baker of Midkiff.
They once lived here by us
before she married She is
the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Dick Hamrick of San
Angelo.
We went to San Angelo
Wednesday to see my
brother in law. Lee Bolin-
ger. Poor thing it is awful
what a condition people can
get in He doesn't even
know his own family. We
returned home Friday
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry
Cooper and baby Had
supper Sunday night with
Mr and Mrs. Nix Grba.
Oma Hamrick. Idcll Jones
and Bill Stewart, all of San
Angelo, spent the weekend
with us. We all went to
Laverne's funeral at San
Saba She was buried at
China Creek.

We visited Robert. Diane
and Junior Phillips at Gold-
thwaite one day last week.
Mr. Z. Karnes of Center
City passed away Tuesday.
September 11, at Scott A
White Hospital in Temple
He was 80 years old. •
Mr. Karnes was born in
Mills County on December
7, 1898. He was married to
Louise Kempskey in July of
1925 in Goldthwaite. They
lived in the Center Gty area
all their married life. He
was a Baptist.
Funeral service* for Mr.
Karnes were conducted
Thursday. September 13.
1979 at 2:00 p.m. in WUkins
Chapel, with Rev. Ramon
Sims officiating, assisted by
Bro. Ernest Newsom. Inter-
ment was in the Goldth-
waite Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife
Louise;- one son and daugh-
ter in law. Roscoe and Jean
Karnes of Hamilton; four
grandchildren. Larry Karnes
of Madill, Okla.; Jack
Karnes of Arlington; Danny
Karnes of Stephenville; and
Mark Karnes of Dallas Also
surviving are 6 great grand
children and one sister. Lela
Mays of Gotdthwaite.
