be strictly amateurs and every
precaution will be taken to see
that no ringers—no previous
purse winners—get into the
event to give unfair competi-
tion to the amateurs. f

important announcement, .re-
garding the Rodeo parade in
Goldthwatte on the afternoon
of June 8- Meanwhile. Chair-
man Hollis Blackwell of the
Parade Committee urges all
clubs and civic organizations, as
well as mercantile establish-
ments, M) prepare floats and
arrange to participate in the
Big Parade, which will be color-
ful and noisy, if nothing else.
Anybody with ideas for the
Parade Is asked to turn them
over to Mr. Blac kwell. Everybody
is invited to see T M Glass for
tickets—or to buy them at the
various places where they will
be on sale.

I Jersey Show Is to be held in De
: Leon. Texas. Thursday, June 8.
■ This show has been outstanding

I shows. The 1950 show Is expect-
ed to be no exception as many
of the States leading Jersey
breeders have indicated they

their herds and more are ex-
pected when June 8 rolls

A&M College will judge the cat-
tle on the comparltlve basis.
De Leon is located In the
northern part of Comanche
County and 12 miles west of
Dublin. The show barn Is one
block west off main street.
The show starts promptly at
9:30 A M with the judging of
Jersey Heifers owned by Texas
4-H and F. F. A. members. All
males and non-milking females
will be judged before noon. All
milking females and group
classes will be judged In the af-
ternooh starting with two year
old females. Judging will be by
comparison ana cash prizes to
the first seven places in each
