pretty address of welcome. He was
responded to by Hon. J. H Sharp of

Following the installation cere-

superintendent of the insurance de-

the audience with a splendid address
in which he gave a brief history of
tin* organization of the Knights ol
Pythias. In fact the three speakers
in beautiful language told what this
order had accomplished for humani-

more than forty-seven years ago.
Special emphasis was given to the
fact that it is an American institu-

Not only did the addresses make
a favorable impression upon the au-
dience but the vocal solo by Mrs. W
C Autry and the quartet by Mrs
Gammon Mrs. Biard Mrs. Acker
and Miss Margaret White were es i

ladies are among the city’s most tal j

this occasion were received with an
enthuiastic demonstration. Mrs Au-

a catchy little comical song

Honest Medicines Versus Fakes
President Taft's recent message |
suggesting an amendment to the i
pure food and drugs law in its rela-
tion to prepared medicines does not !
refer to such standard medicines as I
Foley's Honey and Tar Compound
and Foley's Kidney Pills both of
which art* true medicines carefully
compounded of ingredients whose
medicinal qualities are recognized
by the medicinal profession itself as
the best known remedial agents for
the diseases they are intended to
counteract For over three decades
Foley's Honey and Tar Compound
I has been a standard remedy for
roughs colds and affections of the
throat chest and lungs for children
and for grown persons and it retains
today its pre-eminence above all oth-
