Now is a mighty good time to re-
new your subscription to Sentinel.
Most women like to keep special
greeting cards from various seasons
of the year. They also like to collect
clippings—verses, quotations, and
other items which have appealed to
them and which they would like to
keep and refer to from time to time.
Usually, though, these colleetons end
up in a basket or box and are for-
gotten.
That was my experience, until one
day I had the idea of pasting these
little treasures inside my bureau
drawers. After a drawer has been all
pasted up with clippings and cards,
the surface can be painted with a
clear, colorless shellac. This preserv-
es the clippings and also keeps them
from smudging clothing.—Ex.

The small number who attended
the game party sponsored by the
Woman’s Chamber of Commerce at
the Comunity Building Tuesday eve-

Punch and sandwiches were served
at conclusion of the games, after
which H. R. Lancaster auctioned a
cake which was won by Mrs. Bruce
Bushey. She turned it back to the
auctioneer and it was won the sec-
ond time by Mr. Bushey. There were
some lively bidders and Masdames
B. H. Holsomback and Geo. Arm-

money.
A nice sum was realized from the
benfit party and the proceed will be
used toward filling kits for the boys
in iservice, which is under supervi-
sion of Zavala County Red Cross
Chapter. Our quota is 400 kits.
