The hoys plan to bring their
horses and will participate in the
rodeo events. Miss Rlietta will also
enter the barrel races.
Rlietta is a junior at the Univer-
sity of Texas and represented
Texas in the National College Ro-
deo Finals at Colorado Springs
this summer, when 50 college-
competed. The XIRA is made up
of 5 rodeo regions and each region
is represented by 3 top riders in
each event. Rlietta entered the
barrel race and goat tying. Of the
30 runs made in the barrel races
not a barrel was even tipped and
every time was within a 2-second
bracket ranging from 19 to 21
seconds. Rhetta’s times were 19.5
and 20.8 seconds. Among her
wards were a pair of hoots.
