Report: Man arrested
after store robbed
A 20-year-old man was
charged with aggravated
assault with a deadly weapon
Monday after he allegedly
robbed a store, Argyle police
said.
Police reported the man,
from Denton, walked into a
convenience store in the 400
block of South U.S. Highway
377 wearing a green coat and
camouflage ski mask. The sus-
pect then displayed a 9 mm
rifle and took an undisclosed
amount of money before leav-
ing the scene in a white Infiniti,
according to an arrest affidavit.
The suspect jumped out of
his car in the 1700 block of
Gaffield Road and tried to flee
on foot. Officers were able to
catch up with him in the same
block, where he was then taken
into custody by Argyle police,
according to reports.
During the investigation, the
police learned the car he was
driving had been reported
stolen in Denton. Denton
police were notified, officials
said. The man is now in
Denton County Jail.
Other reports
200 block of North Loop
288 — A vending machine at
an area car wash was reported
burglarized over the weekend,
according to Denton police.
Reports stated someone
attempted to get money out of
the change machine using a
stringer advice.
