Du Pouts Helped
Arm Nazis, Senate
Committee Charges
Washington, D. C. (WNS) —
Evidence proving that the Du
Pont Company shared in the
profits accruing from Nazi re-
armament was made public here
by the Senate Munitions Investi-
gating Committee in its final re-
port The report revealed that the
Du Ponts have a stock interest in
the German chemical trust which
furnished Germany with its arms
and munitions, and also that the
Du Ponts have an agreement to
exchange trade secrets with Ger-
many. Other evidence contained
in the report showed that the
Du Ponts had made an agreement
with an international spy to
smuggle arms into the Reich via
Holland, but that the contract
was destroyed in 1939, after the
i Du Ponts had paid the spy $25,-
000.
