Speaking of advertising, let us
say a few words in behalf of its true
mission, so far as this firm is con-
cerned.
We are opposed to any expressions
in our advertising which we cannot
religiously support. We look upon
advertising as we look upon any pro-
mise or statements made by ourselves
presonally, or by our employees!
We want them to ring true and prove
true, Those who believe in the pol-
icy of over-stating conditions have
faith, no doubt, in that sort of pub-
licity, but we shall proceed to' follow
our own ideas by printing facts
which the institution and merchan-
dise will at. all timgs justify.

it A MOONLIGHT PICNIC.
Last Friday eve. Oct. 17, the
Bachelor Maids gave a moonlight pic-
nic in honor of Miss Myrtle Madden
of Colorado City, a past president of
the club, who is visiting in the city.
It' was decided that the best plan
would be to invite their respective
escorts to decompany them to the
Cedar Knob, the nearest and perhaps
the best place for such an occasion.
The evening was cool and, after ar-
riving at the appointed destination,
the boys immediately built a large
bon-fire; and after all had been made
comfortable, a v§ry inviting lunch
was enjoyed. It 'Was a real source
of enjoyment to gather around the
fire and partake of the broiled
meat# and dainties that had been
prepared. Indeed the time passed so
pleasantly' that all seemed to regret
when the time to return to town was
announced.
Those who enjoyed this function
were: Mifeses Clyde Lawrie, Nora
Hooks, Edna Lowrie,. Sallie Weathers,
KaJe Fairman, Zella Prater, Adeline
Little, Helen Woody, May Perry,
Myrtle Madden and Bina Renfro;
and Messrs. Wilbur Fairman, Burton
Denman, C. C. Dooley, Claud Dicker-
son^ Claud Saylor, Kelley Saylor,
Starling Casey, and Harry Porter.
