MRS. JOHN R. BANISTER AND
MRS. COY DILLARD ENTER-
TAIN METHODIST WOMEN
The Womens Society of Christian
Service met Tuesday afternoon in
the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. John
R. Banister.
Due to the absence of our president,
Mrs. Varga, Mrs. Bryan Babb presid-
ed during the short business session.
The call to worship was directed
by Mrs. S. W. Dismukes, her sub-
ject “We Would See Jesus, the Great
Rock Foundation.’’ She also presided
at the “Pre-Easter Candle Lighting
Service.” Hymns sung by the group
were “Jesus Calls Us,” “A Charge
to Keep I Have.” Mrs. J. L. Epper-
son was leader of the program, “Youth
—Our Partners in Kingdom Build-
ing.” The main topic of her talks were
“Needs of the World,” “Recruiting
Young Leaders,” “Our Training
Schools,” “What Must We Do.”
Mrs. Fred Wolf conducted the in-
termitent prayer service.
Pianists for the afternoon were j
Mrs. H. W. Bierschwale and Mrs. ‘
Walker Dismukes.
Highlights of the social hour were
visiting, sightseeing and exploring the
Banisters beautiful new home. Color-
ful spring flowers were placed about
the different rooms.
The tea table was attractive in its
interesting arrangement of spring
flowers.
Mrs. Coy Dillard poured the Rus-
sian tea and Mrs. Banister presided
at the salad bowl. Those present dur-
ing these inspirational hours were
Mesdames C. C. Glynn, Gus Young,
Loyd Whitley, B. W. Babb, Lon R.
Smart, S. W. Dismukes, F. W, Wolf,
J. L. Epperson, H. W. Bierschwale,
S. S. Shanklin, Asa Tomlinson and
the hostesses.
