“Let every one that nameth the
name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
(unrighteousness) 2 Tim. 2:19. We
name the name of Christ when we are
obedient unto His plan of salvation
and become a follower of Him. When
we take His n^nie upon us as disciples
we will either honor or dishonor it.
If we forsake sin and live Godly,
we honor the name of Him who died
for us. But if we continue our sinful
habits, drunkedness, cursing, steal-
ing, lying, gambling, neglect, lazi-
ness, lusts, etc., we dishonor His
name. Can we aftoftl to do that?
A girl may marry a man whose
name is the best in the community.
When this happens, she will either
come to honor it or bring it down.
So we, when we call ourselves after
Christ, (the disciples were called
Christians, Acts 11:20), either glorify
His name or dishonor it. The com-
mand is, “Let everyone that nameth
the name of Christ depart from un-
righteousness."
You are cordially invited to attend
services at the Church of Christ.
V. W. Hayhurst, Minister.
