Breach of contract hy the Defend-
ants named in said suit, wherein Plain-
tiffs were to drill a. well on the lands
located in South one-half of Abst. No.
2273. Cert. No. 609, Survey No. 178,
original grantee, C.C.S.D. & R.G.N.G.
Railway Company, in Edwards Coun-
ty. Texas; and for the recovery of
damages in the amount of $2,443.44
to Plaintiffs by reason of Defendants'
breach of contract: and for foreclos-
ure of a lein on an oil and gas lease
covering the lands described in Plain-
tiff’s petition, said damages being
more specifically set out in a sworn
account which is attached to Plain-
tiffs’ petition, as is more fully shown
by Plaintiff's Petition on file in this
suit.
The officer executing- this process
shall promptly execute the same ac-
cording to law, and make due return
as the law directs.

NOTICE TO DELTA
KAPPA GAMMA MEMBERS
Mrs. Bobby Cowsert, nee Miss Eve-
lyn Proctor, was honored at 8 gift tea,
Thursday afternoon, October 11th at
the Woman’s Club House.
Receiving the guests were Mrs. Ce-
cil Allen, Mrs. Cowsert, the honoree,
Mrs. Tommy Cowsert, the groom’s
mother, and Mrs. W. H. Ramsey, the
groom’s grandmother.
Mrs. Terry Cowsert, the groom’s
aunt, presided over the register. Flor-
al decorations at this table and about
the reception room were arrangements
of yellow crysanthemums.
A scene depicting a little red school
house centered the tea table. Tiny
swings and seesaws were on the
school grounds which was enclosed
with a tiny hedge of chrysanthemums.
Mrs. Ellie Ed Allen of Junction serv-
ed the white cake and Mrs. Hose
O’Bryant served punch.
The program was presented by the
girl- of the Home Economics De-
partment. A trio composed of Claretta
Davis, Evelyn Edwards, and Barbara
Bishop sang three songs, and Miss
Eduards also gave two musical num-
bers on her accordion. The H. E.
girls dressed as small school girls,
invited Mrs. Cowsert to a teacher’s
desk which held a large red apple. On
behalf of the guests and hostesses,
they presented her with gifts.
The hostesses were Mesdames Ce-
cil Allen, Dor Brown, Coy Dillard.

pie Good, Harold Hough, Monte
Kirkland, Joe Luce, A. Fi. Mayes, Bill
Mitchell, Billy McCoy, Hose O’Bry-

WOMAN’S CLUB HAS
BUSINESS MEETING
The Rocksprings Woman’s Club
met Wednesday afternoon, October
17th for a business meeting. Due to
the death of Mrs. Loui Strackbein,
the program and social hour hour was
not held. During the business ses-
sion, Mr. Steve Potts of Del Rio,
Scout Executive, told the club women
their responsibilities and obliga-
tions as sponsors of the Cub Scout*
of Rocksprings. Seventeen member*
were present

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF TIME
OF LEGION MEETING
The American Legion Post 215 will
meet Saturday evening, October 20th
and each 3rd Saturday night at 8 p.m.
thereafter at the Edwards County
Park building. The meeting October
20th, all veterans and their wives
are invited. Retreshments will be
served.
PLEASE KEEP LIVESTOCK IN
PENS IN CITY LIMITS
Owners of livestock and chickens
are asked to keep these animals pen-
ned up within the city limits. There
have been too many stray cows, horses,
chickens, etc., roaming in people’s
yards and on the streets. There is an
ordinance prohibiting stray stock and
chickens within the city limits, and
people disregarding this ordnance are
subject to fine.
City Council.
The Regional Meeting of the Delta
Kappa Gamma e held at Uval-
de on Saturday, October 20 in the
Club Rooms of the City Hall. The!
meeting will convene at 9 a.m. The j
theme of the program is "Adventure j
in High Endeavor.” Among the parti-1
cipants on the program are Mrs.
Sadie Ray Powell and Mrs. Irene
Henderson.
At 12:30 a luncheon will be held in
the Kincaid Hotel. For reservations
see Mrs. Monte Kirkland. A confer-
ence for the presidents will follow
the luncheon.
Fellow members let us attend this
important meeting. The program and
fellowship will be inspirational.

The Merry Heart Club will meet
next Wednesday, October 24th at
