THE METHODIST CHURCH
Shan M. Hull, Minister
This coming Sunday will be the end
of our special “Week of Dedication "
All Methodist Churches throughout
America are supposed to observe the
special day next Sunday. Our sermon
text for the special day will he found
in 1st. Chron. 29:5; “Who then it
willing to consecrate his service this
day unto the Lord?” There are four
characteristicsc of the service to which
we are being called today. 1st. It must
he a willing service. God does not force
his will upon us; our service must be
a willing service. 2nd. It must not only
and be a wilBng service but it must be an
and immediate service. The world's needs
call for action today. God is calling
for volunteer service today. 3rd. Then
our service must be a consecrated ser-
vice; who then is willing this day to
consecrate his service unto the Lord?
4th. It is a call for individual service-
who is willing to consecrate his ser-
vice. We can't dedicate or consecrate
others, we can only dedicate ourselves.
Be sure and attend the service next
Sunday morning at 10:45.
Bishop A. Frank Smith will he
with us Sunday afternoon, April 6th.
at three thirty to dedicate our church.
Other announcements will he made
later.
“Come thou with us, we'll do thee
good.”
