PRINTING LAND LAWS.
Books Will Be Free and Ready for
Distribution in August.
Austin, Tex., June 8.—J. T.
Robison, chief clerk of General
Land office and Acting Com-
missoner, today gave out tho
following statement:
“My attention has been called
to the advertisement of an in-
dividual who proposes to fur-
nish for $1 a book about tho
State’s school and, including the
new land law. While every one
has the right to promote any
legitimate business and every
one has the right to patronize
such business, yet when it comes
to the State’s land affairs, it is
due the public that they be
advised that ample provision is
made to give free to every one
asking for it all available in-
formation about the school land
and the school land law.
“The school land law with
explanatory notes, rules and
regulations and citation of cases
decided by the courts, is now in
the hands of the printers, but
will not be printed and ready for
distribution before about the 1st
of August. The new law will
not go into effect until Aug. 10,
