Fairgrounds Noted
Painters have been busy at the Fair
grounds the past week or so, with the
result that buildings, as well as graud
stand look more attractive than they

week, and race horse men now at the
grounds tell us that the track is in ex-

manner in which the association offi-
cials are keeping the oval so that they
are privileged to work out their hors-
es in an approved manner during each
day.

year will be much faster than hereto-
fore, on account of the tact that the
curves have been thrown up on the out-
side, and the entire track given need-
ed treatments here and there, so that
the soft places have been done away
with, and the rolling process used fol-
lowing blading has been quite effective

ponies will not “dig in” to an extes ' *
sive degree when turned loose by their
riders.
The race program is very attractive,
purses offered each day are in line
with other track meets, and each and
