Coach Jim Mobley
Resigns Position '
At Albany School
Following a three-year period
when his Albany High School foot-
ball squad won more than two-
thirds of its games, Coach Jim T.
Mobley of Albany has resigned his
office for next season to the Al-
bany school board, and the election
of Connie F. Smith, assistant
coach during the last three years
to the head coach job was effected.
Coach Moblev went to Albany
from Stephenville, where the year
before he led a winning team in
the Oil Belt District of the State
Interscholastic League. The Yel-
low Jackets, in 1937, Coach Mob-
ley’s last year here, tied with Abi-
lene for the district chatppionship
and Abilene won the title on a de-
cision of League officials.
Reports from Albany state that
Coach Mobley will remain there
until the end of the June session
of school and that he had not an-
nounced his plsns for the future.
