ited Uncle Will Savage in the Ste-
phenville Hospital Sunday.
Mrs. Grady Coston of Frederick,
Okla., came with her son, Truitt, to
spend the week-end with Mr. and
Mrs. Omer Cook. Mr. and Mrs.
Cook were gone so Mrs. Coston con-
tinued her trip to visit with friends
in Hico.
Mrs. Alfred Huckabee and chil-
dren of Morgan Mill were Sunday
visitors of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. W. R. Carter.
Philip Ogan was a week-end vis-
itor of his cousin, Miss Sunchine
Mann and J. C. Mann, Jr., at
Southern Methodist University in
Dallas.
Mrs. Eva Eades and children,
Harlen and Juanita went to the A.
& M.-T. C. U. game in Fort Wdrth
Saturday. Harold Eades, who is
attending the college, came back

tion. Mrs. Edwards is the former

Dublin Gives A & P New Store
The Dublin Masonic Lbdge, own-
er xf a prominent business loca-
tion in Dublin, completed a new
storei building for the A & P store
of that city last week and the
firm is now occupying the refinish-
ed quarters. The building is locat-
ed on the main business street
and was erected by the Latham
Company long years ago" and oc-
cupied by that firm until they
retired from business in the early
years of the century.
Navy Day Set
Navy veterans, many of whom
have had "their uniforms in moth-
balls for two years, will don
“blues” again for Navy Week ob-
’ervances climaxed by Navy Day
on Oct. 27. Rear Admiral Law-
rence F. Reifsnidef, USN, Eighth
Naval District fcommandant, sug-
gested that the vets wear their
uniforms to social' functions and

Tolar P.T.A. Plans
Annual Halloween
Carnival Oct. 31
The Tolar P. T. A. is making
plans for a bigger and better Carn-
ival this year. It will be held Fri-*
day, October 31, beginning at aix
p. m. with the serving of supper
in the school cafeteria. At 7:30,
the program will begin in the au-
ditorium.
One of the main featurea of this
program will be a real old fiddler’s
contest, for which cash prizes will
be awarded to the first, second
and third places. Admission will
be charged..
After the program there will
be many booths for the entertain-
ment of old and yjjung. An invita-
tion ia cordially-extended to all.
Mr. and Mra. Paul Buchanan of
Purves and their son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Travis

tor. Model WS Serial No. 78, re-built
and guaranteed to be 86% aa good as

It is the Intention of the said Court
to issue intereet bearing time warranto
for the purchase price of said road ma-
chinery. said warrants to aggregate not to
exceed 84000.00, end shall mature ser-
ially. the npxloium maturity thereof to
be not later than 1958, and will bear In-
terest from date at the rate of 8 1-4%
per annum.

bidder's certified check in the amount of
5% of the amount bid. And the Com-
