Mr. and Mrs. Fred Martin and
daughter of Leesburg were Sunday
visitors here.
Mrs. Gene Rex of Pittsburgh is
here for a visit with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. H. E, Latham.
Mrs. Fred Billings has been quite
sick the past few days at her home
on Gilmer street.
Mrs. E. L. Ashcroft and daughter
Marjorie Lou are spending today in
Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Denson are
here from their home in Houston for
a Aisit with the Glover family.
Mrs. Ben Wood and children are
spending a feAv days in Dallas visit-
ing her sister, Mrs. Mamin Hine.
A son was born Sunday morning
at the hospital here to Mr. and Mrs.
Clovis SteAvart.
Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Houseal of
Memphis, Tenn., are here visiting
Mouseal’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.
E. Latham.
Mrs. Olga Causey is here from
Dallas to be with her father, Mr.
Joe Foster, who has been quite sick
since Saturday.
Wince Connally has returned home
from Fort Bullis', near San Antonio,
where he spent the past few weeks
at an officers’ reserve camp.
Starting tonight, the lady and the
gentleman making low score respec-
tively will be permitted to play Free
at the City Park Golf Course until
a lower score is turned in, All scores
must be attested.
Friends here have received an-
nouncement of the arrival of a son
to Mr. and Mrs. Claud Adams at
Haynsville. He has been christened
Billy Reeves. Mr. and Mrs. Adams
Avere former residents here, Mr. Ad-
ams being with Carl Stirling Drug
Company.

home from Greenville and reports
her mother, Mrs. B. F. Avery Avho
has been quite sick, improved-

They have gone to Dallas to visit rel-

companied by Mrs. W. W. Lomenack

day in Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. H. C. McGrede and
children went to Longview Monday
in response to a message that his
mother, Mrs. John McGrede, Avas
quite sick at her home there.
Clarence Rector is vacationing
from the Askew & Buford drug store
and Avith Mrs. Rector and their
daughter Louise will visit in San An-
tonio and other points.
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. McDowell
Avere visitors in Fort Worth during
the week-end, and their daughter
Miss Flora who has been in school
there during the summer returned
home with them.
As the News-Telegram goes to
press the first neAV bale of cotton
comes into toAvn from Sulphur Bluff.
