Home Economics Club; dorm
Legislator; member of Advis-
ory Council; and a winner in
the Democratic Women of Texas
art contest in 1963.
Galey is a 1964 graduate of
Sam Houston State College in
Huntsville, Texas with adegree

Vows were read July 9, at
7:00 pjn. in the Presbyterian
Church in Youkon, Okla., by
Mr. Don Ray Pearcy, Canyon,
and Miss Sylvia Dolores Askew
of Youkon, Okla. Officiant was
the Rev. K.V. Clark of Oklahoma
City.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. H.A. Askew, 2 Spruce
Drive, Youkon, Otda^ and Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Belyeu, Box
264, Sundown, Tex.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride chose a formal
gown of white bouquet taffeta,
styled with long petal point
sleeves and slightly belled
skirt. The square neckline,
skirt and train was banded with
peau-de ange lace, and orna-
mented with tiny seed pearl
embroidery. The elbow length
veil fell from a Jeweled pHl-
box. Her bouquet was fashion-
ed of white orchids and white
roses with satin streamers.
Maid of Honor was Miss Kay
Brown of Oklahoma City. She
wore a pink linen dress with
matching accessories and car-
ried a bouquet of pink roses.
A reception was held, immed-
iately following the ceremony,
given by the bride’s parents in
the church.
The table was centered with
candelabra* and the wedding
cake was three-tiered decorat-
ed in the bride’s chosen colors
of pink and white.
The bride is s teacher at
Canyon Republic School in Can-
yon and attended Central State
College, graduating in 1964.
Pearcy is a student at West
Texas State Univanity and is
employed by Hooper Holmes
Bureau Inc.
Following a wedding trip to
Dallas the coqpie will be at boms
in Canyon. For traveling the
bride chose a Mack knit suit
and white accessaries.
