So what do we who call
Comanche County home have
to complain about?
Not a thing ... compared to
those along the Gulf Coast of
Louisiana, Mississippi, and
Alabama.
Hurricane Katrina dealt
thousands of people a
crushing blow, leaving us all
heart-broken for them. And
after watching and reading the
sobering media coverage of
the devastation, it’s only
human nature that we want to
help.
We’re being told that the
best way to help early in the
disaster is to send cash to our
• church relief organizations,
the American Red Cross or
Salvation Army. If you or your
organization want to help,
we’re advised to contact the
American Red Cross or
Salvation Army and register
with them so they can contact
us for any unmet needs.
According to Gov. Rick
Perry’s office, you can contact
OneStar Foundation Hurricane
Relief, the State of Texas
clearinghouse for donation
and volunteer information, or
how to make a non-cash
donation.
