ISSUED WEEKLY TO ALL SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL...-.-.-.-.No. 639
16 October 1963
WORK TO WIN Midway through the Con-Trib Club Fund Drive, payroll
deduction authorization cards are beginning to come
in. We hope they will continue at a rate in keeping with the steady,
generous way in which we have always met every Con-Trib Club goal. Ten
per cent of these funds go into the GD/N employees' Emergency Aid Fund,
used to help our own employees in crisis situations. Over $200,000 has
been paid out from this fund in the past to meet the types of personal
disasters to our employees which there is no other way to meet. This
is a part of the circle of protection around GD/N people.
In recent years we have become a winning company in first one way
after another. We are building an enviable reputation in every realm
in which achievement matters. The Con-Trib Club campaign is something
we do for ourselves and for our community. Sixty-five per cent of the
employees in 350 other Tarrant County companies have signed up as "Top
Hands", to contribute one hour's pay or more each month to the United
Fund. We are the number one company in this area in most ways. The
Con-Trib Club Drive is one additional way in which we should be the
number one company -- number one in the bigness of our hearts. We
know you can be counted on to do your part.
