FOR RETURNING
B-52 TOOLSAll B-52 tools should be collected and routed to
Department 24-6. We should have all B-52 tools
back to Boeing by September 15.Check your area to see if any of these tools remain. All B-52 tools have
"Boeing Airplane Company" marked on them. The excellent job you did in the
final B-36 inventory assures me that we can get rid of all B-52 tools by the
target date.B-58 REFUELING
ADDS TO RANGEAs the first test B-58 was turned over to a Carswell
Squadron recently, the Hustler was passing another
milestone of the Flight Test Program. It executed a mid-air refueling with a KC-135 Air Force Tanker. This re-
fueling capability gives the Hustler greatly extended range to go along with
its twice-the-speed-of-sound capability.

FOUNDATION LAID 58 by 100 feet in area--is being laid in the 200-foot
bay area. A similar foundation will soon be laid for
a new B-58 Wing Buck Fixture in the 120-foot bay. That area is now being cleared
for this purpose.
