F-16 ACTIVITIES
F-I 6 parts control board meeting at Fort Worth April 6-7.
Lt Gen James T. Stewart, Commander, Aeronautical Systems Division (ASD), of the Air Force
Systems Command (AFSC) visited Fort Worth April 7 for an F-16 update briefing.
Ground thrust reverser progress review was held at the F-16 Systems Project Office (SPO) April 7.
SPO fact finding meeting on ECP 009 Fire Control Radar at Fort Worth April 7.
Major General N. W. Arveschoug, Inspector General, Norway and other Air Staff personnel were in
Fort Worth April 8 for an F-16 briefing.
F-16 program quarterly review was held at Ogden Air Logistics Center (ALC) April 8-9.
Engine starting system design and development testing review at Sundstrand April 7-8.FSD program status as of April 9 was:
2354 (88%) Engineering drawings released
576 (95%) MSLOs released
107 (96%) Process specifications released
6294 (75%) Tools completed622 Tools late to schedule
5542 (76%) Shop orders released for fabrication
3754 (51%) Shop orders completed

components. Started aft fuselage structure. Center fuselage structure complete and in clean-up.
Assembly continues on Airplane No. 2 inlet sections. Assembly work has begun on No. 2 center
fuselage and aft fuselage sections.
Prototype No. I made three flights last week evaluating handling qualities using basic Control
Configuration Vehicle (CCV) modes.
No. 2 prototype, after installation and checkout of engine, made three flights primarily for air-to-air
gun firing.Flight summary as of April 9 was:
