OF AIR CITEDCompressed air should be used only on work requiring
its use, according to company safety regulations.
Lately, several violations of this regulation have
been observed.Among other things, this air is being used for general cleaning of work areas
and machinery. In addition, it has been used to clean such things as cloth-
ing, benches, and floors .
Please give this problem your immediate and continued attention. It'll help
make Convair a safer place in which to work.'58 BOND DRIVE
TO START SOONAuthorization and Sign-Up cards for our 1958 Bond
Drive will be passed out February 27. The drive will
be held from March 3 through 7.Why don't you plan to join the 13,000-plus Convair employees who are now having
bonds taken out of their regular paycheck? When you "salt it away the easy
way," you're investing in both your future and the future of our nation.
TWO GROUPS About 100 members of the Texas Christian University
TOUR PLANT Air Force ROTC Cadets will tour the plant Friday.
And 60 members of the Institute of Navigation from
James Connally Air Force Base, Waco, will make the tour Saturday.
MIM MEETINGS The Management Information Meetings scheduled for
SET MARCH 6 this week have been postponed until Thursday, March 6,
from 1 to 2 p.m. and 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Supervisors
who are to attend these sessions will be notified.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP Convair Management Club membership for 1958 now totals
HITS 50 PERCENT about 50 percent of eligible employees. However,
membership is still open, and Club officials expect
to gain a good number of new members this month.PACE ELECTED
FIRM DIRECTORFrank Pace, Jr., President of General Dynamics
Corporation, has been elected a Director of the
Continental Oil Company. He succeeds the late
William V. Griffin.
