Dress Bespeaks the Woman.
'If you have anything tho mat-
ter with your eyes if ihey are of
a peculiar color or for any other
reason arc over-conspicuous do
not wear tiger eyes for adorn-
ment. They will only draw at-
tention to your eyes and their
peculiarities." This is a frag-
ment from some advice on the
wearing of gems and jewels given
to the dressmakers gathering in
Chicago by Mrs. Carica Le
Febre of Now York.
"If you wear a tiger's eye 'peo-
ple will naturally look from the
stone directly to your own eyes
expecting a repetition it's tho
most natural thing to do" said
.Mrs. Lo Febro. "For the same
reason do not wear brilliant oar-
rings for the sparkle of tho ear-
rings will attract attention to
tho sparkle of the oye. If tho
sparkle isn't true attention must
not bo called to it."
Mrs. Lo Febro believes that
schemes of color should bo care
fully carried out in dre-s and
gems as on canvass.
Hero are some of her rules:
"If your hair is yellow wear
gems that have a yellow glint.
"If your eyes are blue wear the
turquoise."
"If your lips are strikingly red
become devotees of tho garnet
and th ruby."
"If your complexion is clear
unusually so wear the opal "
In gowns too the individuali-
ty of features must bo rollected
