For their last meeting of the
school year, a group of 4-H girls
enjoyed a party at the home of
Mrs. Glenn Barbee, one of their
sponsors.
Frosted soft drinks were served
to Sandra Gage, Judy Wade, Sue
Barbee, Paula .Reding, Debra
Grant, Sherry Adams, Claudia
Wade, Pat Ward, Janice Northern,
sponsors. Mmes. Ralph Wade, T.
D. Northern, and Clifton Adams,
with visitors, Kathy Wade, Johnny
Adams and Kathy Barbee.
Mrs. Violet Blakeley of Abilene
visited rfr father, John Vickery,
and her sisters, Mrs. J. L. Dal-
rymple and family, and Mrs.
John Waters and family Tuesday
and Wednesday. Mrs. Blakeley
and Mrs. Dalrymple celebrated
their birthdays Wednesday with
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Dalrymple at
Levelland.
Mrs. Don Overman presented
her pupils, Judy Wade and Sharon
Wade at the National Piano Au-
dition at the First Baptist Church
at Littlefield Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Waters and
Ben Waters visited Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Baldridge and children at
Idalou Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryant ac-
companied by Mrs. Joe Al Bryant
of Slaton spent Tuesday night at
Lawton, okla. and attended the
graduation of their son and hus-
band, Joe Al Bryant, from the<
Officer’s Training School at Fort
Sill Wednesday. Bryant will re-
main at Fort Sill.
Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Mitchel!
have returned from Orlando, Flo-
rida, where they have visited their
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lee An-
tes, for the past two months. Mrs.
Antes accompanied them here tor
a visit.
Mrs. Allen Hudson left Friday
for Monahans to visit her daugh-
ter, Mrs. Charlie James, and fam-
ily. James is confined to his home
with a foot injury when he tang-
led with a lawn mower recently.
Mrs. Elmer Ward and Dennis
visited Mrs. Jim Tomlinson and
children at Amherst recently.
Terry Lynn Gage, high school
freshman and son of Mr. and
Mrs. Everett Gage has been a pa-
tient at the Medical Arts Hospital
at Littlefield since Friday after
getting hurt at school.
Weekend guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Glenn Barbee and daughters,
were Mrs. Barbee’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Bengie Griffin of Good-
lett, and her brother, Mr. and Mrs.
Alton Griffin and chilren of Quan-
ah. Other guests on Saturday
were Mr. and Mrs. Brady Helms
and daughters of Levelland, Mrs.
W. J. Jackson of Tulsa, and Mr.
and Mrs. T. D. Northern and fam-

Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Landers re-
turned Friday night from Stillwater
Okla., where they were called ear-
lier in the week by the death of the
latter’s brother, Pat Smart.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Havins
and Eddie Jr., of Fort Stockton
spent Saturday night and Sunday
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.P.
Havins.
Floyd Callis and Wayne accom-
panied by Mrs. Eddie Crespo of
Lubbock spent the weekend at
Dallas where they carried the form-
er’s mother who has been here for
several weeks. They were accom-
panid home by Mrs. Floyd Callis
who had been with a daughter,
Mrs. Jim Worth, who has been ser-
iously ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Haynes Denney and
Ann visited Mrs. Denney’s brother,
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Duke and fam-
ily at Abilene for the weekend.
Spending the weekend here with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. D.
Hutson and Phill were Mr. and
Mrs. Clyde Matthews and children
of Spur.
Kathy and Jana Jones of Level-
land are with their grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones,, while
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Jones are at Temple at the Scott-
White Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. V. D. Hodges ac-
companied by Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
Hodges, Johnny Lynn and Carolyn
of Anton, visited the Home Show
at Lubbock Sunday afternoon. Mrs.
J. C. Hodges drew a >100 certifi-
cate as a door prize.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hub
Sprayberry, Sunday were their
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Smith and Miss Elwanda Smith at

Ross Sires, Terry Lynn and Jer-
ry went to San Angelo Saturday
for the weekend. They were *©•
cosnpanled aa far as Colorado City
by Jim Burnett who visited his
aister for the weekend. Returning
hOTae with them was Mr*. Sires,
who had spent the week with her
ristar, Mr. and Mrs. Matthews.
