Sunday service prepared by TLC foursome
By Mary Cronkhite
The Campus Congregation will
again offer the TLC community an
opportunity to experience some-
thing new this Sunday. Following
last week's Deutsche Masse writ-
ten by Martin Luther will be this
Sunday's experimental worship
created by four TLC students.
The students, Dan Biles, Jane
Danitschek, Randi Ellefson, and
Chris Howard, wrote the service
as members of the liturgy class
under the instruction of Dr. Ger-
hard Cartford.
According to Chris Matthy,
chairman of the Worship and Mus-
ic Committee, "The service is not
elaborately designed, but rather
to help those worshipping to focus
their attention on two particular
aspects of the service—the gospel
and the eucharist." There will
also be a portion of the service
designed for the creative use of
silence.
An additional high I ight wi 11 be
the gospel sermon which is to be
delivered by Dr. JoeK. Menn,
TLC president.
Matthy encourages the student
body to attend this unique ser-
vice Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in
Weinert Memorial Chapel.
This service will be the last
new form of worship to be pre-
sented this semester, but Matthy
noted that several others are an-
ticipated in the spring.
