Wrap Ups
The OrangeflekJ Bobcats dosed out Its 96 seeson with a bang
by Jumping afl over the Woodville Eagles 56-40. Bobcat running
back Shon Jones again had a briMant performance by churning
out 209 yards and two TDs. Jones also had two TDs receiving.
Woodville came with a very talemed, extremely quick football
team but the Big Cats prevailed.
The West Orange-Stark Mustangs cruised right by the Bridge
City Cardinals 48-0. The Mustangs will be looking for its third
state championship as It travels to Houston to take on New
Caney in round one. The Cards closed out Ns season with the
Stangs but look forward to next year.
The LCM Bears held off a speedy Lincoln football team 36-24.
The Bears' Dameon Morris had an outstanding game rushing for
194 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Bears will play Jasper at
Northwestern La. stadium in round one of the Texas playoffs
Yes, ft wl be playing a Texas playoff game in another state. Go
figure!
There was a misprint in last week's column referring to Bridge
City's season. My point was to show something positive about
the Cards. It should have read: The Bridge City offense ranks
7th in team offense in the *. The WO-S offense ranks 4th in
offense, and 7th in defense. No other teams in our area made
these rankings in the greater Houston area.
