The White Deer Home Dem-
onstration Club's first meeting
of the year was held Tuesday,
September 5 in the home of
Mrs. Nita Ramming.
Each member had a helping
hand in the program. Mexican
Cookery.led by Maxine Nunn
and Rosa Jones. The luncheon
consisted of two types of en-
chiladas, two types of hot
sauce, Spanish rice and gua-
camole dip with tostados along
with garden salad was enjoyed
by all.
A short business meeting
followed. Roll call "What I
Did This Summer" was ans-
wered by four guests, Brenda
Vermillion, Mrs. T.L. Haiduk,
Edith Phillis and County Agent,
Kathy Gist. Members answering
roll call were Debbie Phillips,
Agnes Jones, Evelyn Osborne,
Maxine Nunn, Laura Downey,
Proxie Warminski, Rosa Jones,
Leia Wheeler, Rosie Kirby and
the hostess.

met for their regular monthly
meeting Monday evening,

a report on the Muscular Dys-
trophy Telethon. Trophies
were presented to Brian Skaggs
and Dolly Punches for raising
the most money in the Dance-
A-Thon_ The sorority would
like to thank everyone for
their help and participation
make the telethon such a
success.
The programs for the evening United Methodist Church in
were "Living With Heritage",
given by Dianne Dalton and
"Heritage for the Future",
given by D.J. Frost.
Lynn Hefner was selected
as the Sorority's Sweetheart
for the 78'79 year.
