identify club members. The
letters “l.C.B ” were decided
upon by group approval, and

sign with the ICB logo A sketch
of an Icey Bee (honey type) or a
Mustang with icicles hanging
from it were suggested to depict

report our clubs activities to the
Ingleside and Aransas Pass
Newspapers after each meet
ing. This put in a form of a
motion and approved by the
membership The Oakie Aggie
(Bill Bailey) made a motion to
publish a quarterly newsletter
of our clubs activities and
public service; this motion was
also approved. Oakie Aggie
requested that he and his wife
• Purple Turtle) put out this
newsletter to keep our club and
other people informed of our
activities.
Adams Apple requested a
“social" for our club in the near

Committee to plan a club social
as well as look into a Holiday
Rest Stop for motorists at
Hiway 361 and B Street in the

into our town to let people know
our clubs existence and that we
monitor channel 12 Boll Wevill
(Gary Cartwright) volunteered
to check at the high school shop
to see if these signs could be
made there
New CB'ers attending our
club for the first time were:
Thomas Dendy (Ingleside Wild-
cat), Pam Gray (Candy Apple),
George Milligan (White She-
pard), Joe Pena (Coffee Pot)
and Mr and Mrs Billy Dendy
(Partsman and Partslady),
Twenty-eight CB'ers in Ingle-
side have now expressed an
interest in, or joined, the l.C.B.

Effective Jan. I, 1977 the yearly membership dues for
continuous, reinstated and continuous transfer members will
be 411.00 per year and for the remainder of this fiscal year.

Country Club Both are resi-

In the full-handicap event,
Henson finished with a net score
of 58, 14 under par Finishing a
close second with a net 59 was
Conwell Smith Dewey Smith
finished third with a net 63 and
Paul Medlin placed fourth with
65.
Ms Behee won the ladies
division with a net score of 64
Patsy l^awrence placed second
with 66 and Rose Smith took
third place with 67
Merchandise prizes for the
tournament were provided by
Jim Dupnik, club president.
A fish fry was served at the
club following play Monday.
Workshop On
Aging Slated
A countywide workshop
aging will be held Friday,
September 10, at 2 p m., at the
City Hall in Sinton The
workshop is being sponsored
jointly by the Senior Citizen
Programs of the Community
Action Agency (CAA) and by
the Area Agency on Aging of the
Coastal Bend Council of
Governments
County
Hartman

Area Agency Allen Lawrence,
Gloria Yoakum, and Mario
Guerra of the CAA will describe
activities directly serving older
citizens in San Patricio County.

Nursing and Convalescent Cen-
ter were as usual for the
beginning of the new month.
Monday morning. Arthur, our
barber from City Barber Shop
in Ingleside, was over to cut all
of our men resident’s hair

Wednesday morning at 10,
Jean Windham was out to
conduct our paint class as she
usually is Jean has become a
very good and willing volunteer
for us and we do reallv love her
for “caring". Of course we had
our exercise class each morning
after breakfast and baths.

were out for their weekly
program of songs and a short|
meditation.

Bible Study for our residents

Chairman Walt Loving (Sea
Turtle) called the meeting to
order on September 1 and
welcomed members and guest
Minutes of the last meeting
were read by the Longhorn
(John Chupe), and approved by
the members
A recap of our clubs intention
to use channel 12 for city
communication and to meet as
a group on the first and third
Wednesdays of each month was
made Also mention of the fact
that family memberships were
82 00 were approved last
meeting was noted.
A discussion of which Ten
Code would be appropriate for
our club to use was brought up
by the Thinman (Bob Davis).
Blankety Blank (Janie Davis)
who is dispatcher for the APPD
said that she would bring
I several of the existing ten codes
Ito the meeting later this month
so members could decide on a
suitable system for Ingleside
CB’ers. She also made mention
that we use 10-50 for traffic
accidents instead of 10-33
It was noted that the police
department does not monitor
the CB from their cars because
units are not available to them.
Several club members, Adams
Apple among them, volunteered
to loan their radios to the police
department for mobile use; also
Adams Apple said that he would
aid in repairing the CB antenna
at the local PD station.
Wampus Cat (Boots Hester)
stated that Ingleside CB'ers
should be ready at all times to
help their local police and fire
departments in emergency
situations. Chairman Loving
stated that deputy sheriff Rudy
Villa and police chief Mike
Webb have been invited to
address our meeting on how we
may aid them in such emer-
gencies.
A permanent meeting site to
hold our growing membership
was next discussed Longhorn,
Adams Apple, and Sea Turtle
will check with CPL and
officials of our city about
potential club meeting sites.
Members were then urged to
respond as a club to the need for
blood donations to aid two boys
in our area that need this
service. Both have need for (his
donation and it was suggested
that members give in the name

Repealing Sections 49-d
and 49-d-l of Article III
of the Texas Constitution,
S.J.R. 49 amends Section
49-c of Article III of the
Texas Constitution to pro-
vide for and authorize an
additional $400 million in
Texas water development
bonds that may lie issued
on approval of two-thirds
of the members of each
house of the Legislature
for such water develop-
ment purposes as the
Legislature may prescribe
The amendment con-
tains a specific prohibition
against the use of state
funds for the development
of water resources from the
Mississippi River and also
requires that before any
single water development
nroject may lx- undertaken
requiring the expenditure
of more than $35 million
in bond proceeds, it must
be approx'ed bv resolution
of the Legislature.
The amendment re-
moves the constitutional
requirement that certain
revenues must lie used to
retire water development
and wafer quality'enhance-
ment Ronds and removes
the constitutional interest
rate limit on such bonds.
The wording of the pro-
posed amendment as it will
appear on the ballot is as
follows:
