DELL VALLEY REVIEW
Norway On Byrd Bay I
Plans are under way by Nor-
way to establish a 1 4-man base
on the Antarctic coast, in the
vicinity of the prime meridian.
The American Peoples Ency-
clopedia’s 1956 Yearbook re-
ports the base should be com-
pleted by late in 1956. Admi-
ral Byrd Bay, discovered in
1955, is being considered as a
possible site.
Up To Par
The young country club set
seems determined to be relax-
ed and comfortable, even if
the girls don’t always make the
lowest golf scores. The latest
is to carry sun-tan lotions, eye-
drops, insect repellent and
first aid bandages in with spare
balls and tees to make sure that
when they hit the 19th hole,
they will look as up to par as
they were when they approach-
ed the first tee.
