Dell Valley. . . Mayor Allan Hill, Bill Boykin, El Paso National
Bank, Bond specialist, and Travis Johnson, City Attorney. They
are making plans for the town meeting - TONIGHT, and the
coming Bond Election to be held, May 3rd.
Dell Valley with a virtually unlimited water supply now has a
"once in a life time" chance to have one of the finest water -
sewage systems in the Southwest.
The proposed water treatment plant will take the raw water from
a well, the location to be decided at a later date, and force it
through pressure filters. Ground storage tanks receive the filtered
water. Pumps force the water from the tank into the asbestos cem-
ent line to Dell City. After passage through the transmission line, ‘
the filtered water is stored! in a storage tank at the plant site.
The water in the storage tank is transferred through a fine filter-
ing system. The "product" pump forces the water through a series
of Mark III membrane stacks. The partially demineralized water
is boosted through the remaining two stacks by a pump preceding
each of these stacks.
The feed stream is split into two parts upon entering the elect-
rodialysis stack section of the plant. One stream is demineralized
while the other acts as make-up to the recirculating brine stream.
This stream conducts water to and from the stacks to pick up the
minerals removed, ( this was seen in the demonstration plant sev-
eral years ago)
The product water, after having passed through the three stacks,
is stored in an elevated tank, ready for distribution to the custom-
ers.
The second phase of the proposed improvement program is a
sewage treatment plant. According to tire U.S. Health Service
study of a typical state showed that sewage treatment facilities
cost, on the average, about 12 per day per family. A modest price
to rid the community of the dangerous effects of pollution. A
treatment plant of this kind will protect public health, attract de-
sirable industry, and will stimulate community growth.

rendered such property for tax-
ation are eligible, qualified
voters in the coming Bond Iss-
uance Election set for May 3,
1966.
The purpose of the May 3

enue Bonds for the purpose of

waterworks system and a sani-
tary sewer system for Dell City,
The combined revenues from
the new waterworks and sani-
tary systems will be used for
payment of the new systems.
As stipulated, the holder of
