The beautiful, sparkling, life
giving river water didn’t look so
nice this week. A fellow had to
use a tooth pick to get the mud
and grit out of his teeth after
taking a drink.
The Panama still leads
the procession, and is pre-
eminently the warm weath-

with this company.
We are reliably informed that
C. A. Doose and his associates
and Louis and Paramere have
1 set aside something like 200:
acres at Truitt and have had it
laid off in lots blocks and streets
and we will see a city loom up at
that place. C. A. Doose and
Co-partners, alwa„ s on the in-
side of public affairs and enter-
prises, likely have some informa-
tion about the Wichita Valley
railroad project to bnild from
Abilene to Brady in the near
future. It might be a good idea
for our Commercial Club to in-
vestigate and look into this rail-
road proposition. Ballinger can’t
afford to miss this opportunity
if this road builds through our
county which it will do some day
beyond a doubt.
