HAD. A FINE VISIT
F. Blakeney has returned from
his son. Joe
His daughter,
t with him,
stayed for a longer visit.
Uncle Ben -says he had a most de-
1 lightful visit and a profitable trip so
] far as his feelings and health are
concerned. He would spend a whole
day in the saddle .and feel no un
pleasant effects from his unwonted
exercise. There was a big concrete
pool filled with running water, and
after a day's ride horseback and a
plunge, in that pool he would eat a
hearty supper and then go to sleep
under a blanket and rust like a baby.|
He says that Joe Ben now has on j
his ranches sixteen thousand sheep.]
four thousand Angora goats and i|
thousand cattle.

We have bought practically all the wheat grown in
Fannin County this year, and a grea^,deal from counties
adjoining. We have paid from five to ten cents per
bushel more than was paid at any other point in Texas
that we have noticed. Reference to the markets publish-
ed in the daily papers will confirm this statement.
W6 have ground this wheat into flour and sold it to
the merchants and exchanged it with the farmers for
their wheat at a price of about twenty-five cents per
hundred lower than the price made by any other mill of
knowledge grinding soft wheat, (hard wheat flour
For bakers’ bread commands a lower price).
