Miss Ivy Eickie, of Houston,
who had been visiting her broth-
er, Mr. Eickie and family, left
Saturday evening for her home.

Ora Lee Hester, of Mer-

Mr. George Reeder, of Miles,
brother of D. Reeder of this city,

The deal was closed Friday eve-
ing in which A. L. Spann buys
the Dr. Brown residence and out
lots on Eight Street. This is a
nice piece of property and we
arc glad that Mr. Spann shows
his faith in our city by investing
and makins this their permanent
home.
Mrs. P. C. Cobb and daughter
of Zephyr, who had been visiting
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Reese and other relatives and
friends, returned home Saturday
afternoon.
Little Miss Lorena McWhirter,
returned home at noon Monday
from a visit to relatives at Lam-
pasas.

children, of Dallas, who had been
visiting J. H. Booth and family

to the cotton carnival at Galves-

in the city last Saturday the
guest of J. H. Wilbourn the local
photographer, who is treasurer

B. S. Taylor came in Saturday
from Dallas and went out to the
Oxien country on a visit to his
brother Jim Taylor, and will like

returned home Saturday evening
from Winters where he had been
looking after his firm’s interests

Farmer R. W. Bruce drove in
Saturday afternoon from his
farm 8 miles South of town, and
said his crop was laid by and he
felt reasonably sure of making a

Flat country, a former citizen of

Shrevesport, La., to attend the
funeral of his brother W. M. Wat-
son, who died at that place Sat-
