The annual Skelton
reunion was held on
Saturday, June 25, 2016 at
the Voss Community
Center. This is a reunion of
the Will and Martha
Skelton families. The doors
opened at 10:00 a.m., with
several waiting to enter the
center.
After a prayer, by Virginia
Jamison, a delicious pot-
luck lunch was enjoyed by
all. During and after the
meal, small groups began
to form, to catch-up on the
last year’s happenings of
the different families. New
births, marriages, etc. were
the norm. Of course, the
wet weather and crop con-
ditions also dominated the
conversations. Those in
attendance spoke fondly
and lovingly of those who
had passed on in the inter-
vening year. Those who
were unable to attend, due
to health problems, were
also discussed

myself to lunch on

We’re all so happy to
have one of our favorite

after a stay in the VA

gathered in the lobby to
welcome him “home”.
As we all held hands,
Jeff Moore led us in a
prayer on his behalf.
I like to think of the Hi-
Rise as our castle and the
residents as “Downtown
Royalty” who watch
over our beloved busi-

and weekends.
Saturdays downtown
are especially fun. I like
to meander downtown
zig-zagging in and out of
shops, visiting with
shopkeepers as well as
some of the out-of-town
visitors, who stop by our
very own little Texas
oasis.

I Hi - my name is Penny and I am a black and white
female Border Collie mix. I am approximately 6 to
8 months old, so I am still in the puppy stage of life.
I am very playful and would appreciate a good yard,
or a ranch, that I could run and get my exercise. I
love to play in the water bowl and would make a
great indoor/outdoor pet. I am current on my shots
and would benefit from an experienced owner who
has raised puppies before. If you would buy me
some chew toys, I would love to come live with you
in your home.
