reporting having had an enjoy-
able time.
Redbud seed planted in
now will come up in the spring
and be large enough to trans-
plant to the yard in the fall.
Since they grow from 10 to 20
inches the first year, club mem-
bers are finding this a satis-
factory way of getting redbuds.
Rosalie Foytik of the Sealy 4-H
club gathered a quart of redbud
seed that was distributed a-
mong club members who will
plant them for plants to put
on the highways of Austin
county in the fall of 1939. The
seed will be planted in pots of
beds about an inch deep so they
can be cared for until they are
large enough to transplant.
Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Pophan-
ken, Mrs. F. B. Miller and
daughter, Miss Dessie, all of
Post Oak Point, visited a few
hours in the R. E. Pophanken

performed in the spacious liv-
ing room where members of
the bride’s family realized their
joys and sorrows.
Members of the bridal party
were grouped in front of ad
embankment of ferns and coral
wine, and the scene was ill
luminated with tall candles in
floor standards. The table used
during the ceremony was an
heirloom brought from Ger-

She carried a bouquet of white

luncheon was served. The lace-
covered table was centered with
the wedding cake, a square con-

sign and topped with two white
turtle doves. It rested on a fern-
