ROCKING CHAIRS
For almost a century, discriminating home-
makers, and people who appreciate Hie fine joints
of "character" and comfort in rockers, have pre-
ferred TELL CITY CHAIRS above all others—
for making rocking chairs is a very specialized
art in which TELL CITY craftsmen hove excelled
for 97 years.
In these models you will find the reliable quali-
ties of traditional rocking chair construction—
generous, comfortable seats of the right height;
ease-inducing shaped backs and arm supports;
safe, correctly spaced runners; perfect balance
which keeps the chair gracefully poised at rest as
well as in motion.

Does that quote
iar to you? Could
written, perhaps, by some present
day educator or religious leader?
Sorry, guess again. That opening
statement was penned by one of
the greatest of the Greecian phil-
osophers some 200 years before
the birth of Christ.
All through the ages wise men
and contemporary leaders of all
nationalities have predicted that
the forthcoming generation was
the worst in history and would
without doubt put an end to the
world due to its gross incompe-
tence and irresponsibility.
In each case the condemned
generation matured and turned
out to be relatively as responsible
as the last.
It certainly isn’t something new
to hear fatalistic prognostications
hurled at the younger generation.

The opinion to be expressed
in this article, if the reader hasn’t
already guessed, is that the young-

as it seems through the eyes of
i adiilts.

sary for that person to really

find that
tion not only makes a difference,
it is the difference.
Are you like so many of us
who have found we simply do not
know how to study or, somehow,
just can’t set our minds on study-
ing with so many other time-con-
suming activities. Acute mental
concentration is the very essence
of study, but how many of us1
have actually reached that level.
We must want to be able to con-
centrate before we actually can
and then we must follow up that
desire with effort. Our incen-
tive to do the job well will de-
termine the benefits and rewards
we will receive from it.
No study is lost, for all know-
ledge is allied. The ability to
study is a right which no one can
steal from us. We need to look
ahead and learn to appreciate the
values that dur studies will bring
us in economic success, social
prominence, power, culture and,
most important, inward
tion.
You may have made
mind to start studying
can’t find a convenient
begin. There lies the difference
in success and failure.
