Mrs. N. R. Beal was hostess to the
members of the Crepe Myrtle Gar-
den Club last Thursday afternoon.

Mrs C. E Cogswell was in charge
of the program for the afternoon.
She gave a very interesting discus-
sion of “Wild Flowers,” and capably
directed clever contests.
Mrs. Cogswell had twenty varieties
of flowers on display at the meeting,
which made the program more
fective. Those present enjoyed
meeting very much.
The twenty-one members of the
South Ward School chorus were en-
tertained with a weiner roast Wed-
nesday evening of last week. They
met at the South Ward School build,
ing at six-thirty o’clock and were
taken in a truck driven by Gettys
McCool to Dripping Springs, about
live miles east of Nocona, for the
picnic.
This entertainment was given by
W. B. Banister and Mrs. Charles
Peterson as a reward for winning
first place In the County in choral
singing at the Interscholastic League
Meet at Bowie about a month ago.
After several games were plaved a
delicious picnic lunch was enjoyed

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Priddy and son
and Mr. and Mrs. Coe Priddy and
baby of Nocona were dinner guests
Sunday of their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. M. W. Priddy.
Miss Lois Reed of Nocona enter-
tained her girl pupils Tuesday night
with a slumber party. They went
to Nocona and bought goodies to
eat; then returned home and played
games till a late hour when all re-
tired for the rest of the night. The
girts all reported a wonderful time.

at her home in Nocona this week.
