Rev. George A. Fulcher, who
served the Cottage Presbyterian
church as pastor, was also pastor
of the Church at St. Jo, Myra
and Stoneburg something like a
year ago, died at his home at
Spearville, Kansas, Thursday,
January 20th. He was stricken
with apolexy on the street Jan-
uary 6th, just two weeks before
he died. Mr Fulcher had many
friends in Nocona who will re-
gret to hear of his passing away.

Mr. Edward Conyer of Fort
Leavenworth, Kansas, and Miss
Ada^Nivens were quitely married
at Montague Thursday afternoon
of last week. Mr. Conyer was
raised to manhood in the east
side of Montague county, but has
been in the Army for nearly fif-
teen years. He is a drill master
and is stationed at Fort Leaven
worth. Mrs Conyer is a sister
of Mrs J. O. Cobb and has made
her home in Nocona for the past
few months. Mr and Mrs Con-
yer will be at home at Fort
Leavenworth. We extend hearty
congratulations.

Weather in great variety and
some of it with vengence came

the past week. Saturday it was
cold, damp, misty, rain and fog.
Sunday still colder, ice and sleet.
Monday and Tuesday ditto, only
more so. The ground coated
with ice and sleet, very bad and
disagreeable. Wednesday the
sun shone and thawed up some—
enough to be muddy.
The roads are something ter-
rible, almost impassible. The
