they may appear healthy and nor-
mal, frequently carry infections
which can be transmitted to the

Erect a hoover guard around the
hover to prevent the chicks from
straying away from the warmth ot
the brooder stove and to eliminate
floor drafts. This guard should be
about ten inches high — roofing I
paper, galvanized tin or boards will
