Exchange 1Rotes.
Among the first of our exchanges this month was The Owl.
Fresno High School, California. .The departments are well
developed and the cuts are good. The story "A Legend" is interest-
ing and well told.
We were glad to find The Sotoyoman, California, among our ex-
changes, and enjoyed the stories, "The Angel of Harmony Flat"
and "Pike, the Cowboy." The cuts are good, especially the one
for the "Social Notes."
The Stator is published on good paper, and has a tasteful cover,
but the contributions lack literary merit.
The three stories published in the Fulcrum, Pratt, Kansas, do
little credit to the Seniors who wrote them.
Tooter, Nebraska, you have a good exchange column, but have
the students deserted you that you have no stories?
The Ogontz Mozaic, Pennsylvania, is very good this month. The
story "Ling's Gold Mine" is interesting. This paper contains some
very beautiful descriptions especially "Bayou Chenango" and
-Memories of Nippon."
The "Breaking of a Feud" in the Optomist, Kaukaukee, Illinois,
is an interesting story.
The Vail-Deane Budget, Vail-Deane School, contains a very
well written account of "Book Agents."
Wah Hoo, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, you have some good stories
and jokes, but why do you not criticise more papers in your ex-
change column?'I
