The Relation of Pure Water to the Tax Rate:
Tulsa Olahoma spends in excess of $500000.00 per annum for bottled water which amounts to a direct tax on the
population of that city IN ADDITION to the regular water tax for fire protection. This is equivalent of an annual
interest charge on a principal of $10000000.00 at the rate of 5 per cent. Tulsa to eliminate this WASTE is
spending $5000000.00 to bring pure water from Spavinaw Creek 65 miles distant. BRECKENRIDGE WATER-
WORKS offers PURE water for drinking purposes and fire protection as well. Whether you take one $10.00 share
or 1000 shares every citizen of Breckenridge should hand in a subscription this week that work on this great pub-
lic improvement may be gotten under way at once.' 20 days will be required to lay the water pipedown in Breckenridge
30 days contractors estimate will be required to lay the line from Clear Fork of the Brazos install pumps and have
PURE water running to Breckenridge.
