Funeral services were held
Gainesville, Wednesday afternoon
for H. G. Akin, age 75, who died
at his home there Monday. He had
suffered a stroke of paralysis
about one year ago and had been
an invalid since then. Burial will
be in the Leo Cemetery near
Gainesville.
The deceased was a farmer in
the County Line Community sev-
eral years before moving tu
Gainesville where he was engaged
in farming until his retirement in
1946.
Survivors include his wife; one
daughter, Mrs. Abb Fennell, Wood
Lawn, Bl.; six sons, Wixie and
Glen of Gainesville; Lois of Cas-
per, Wyo.; Ray of Spring Valley,
Minn.; W. F. of Electra and Roy
Akin, Denver City, Texas; several
grandchildren including William R.
Akin of Electra, with the US Navy

ciated in funeral services held in
the Bible.-Baptist Church at 3 p. m.
Wednesday, <1 for' Mrs. Mary M.
Dozier, age.^81, who died at her
home ,op North-Wilbarger street,
Monday/night; after illness of long
duration. The James B. Totten
Funeral Home was in charge of
the arrangements. Burial was in
the Electra cemetery.
The deceased was born in Rusk
County, Texas. With the exception
of a few years in Wichita Falls she
had resided in Electra more than
thirty years.
Survivors include two daughters,
Mesdames F. L. Parker of Elec-
tra and Beatrice Ringo of Glen
Rock, Pa.; two sons, E. W. Dozier
of San Francisco, Calif., and Barto
H. Dozier who has been missing in
action in Korea since November
1950; fifteen granchildren
thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in
the Holliday Church of Christ,
Monday afternoon for R. Ht
Chesher, 73, retired Texas Com-
pany employe. He died Saturday
night in a Wichita Falls hospital. and vice president w. L wil.
Owens & Brumley Funeral Home
was in charge of the arrange-
ments. Interment was in the Buf-
falo Springs Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Au-
rora, Wise 'County. He and his
family lived northeast of Electra
more than thirty years. Following
his retirement he moved to Hol-
liday.
Survivors include his wife: a son,
Robert L. Chesher of Holliday;
ten daughters, Mesdames Mildred
Williams, Skellytown; Clemma
Mitchell, Bellevue; Irene St. Clair,
Juanita Blair, Doris Adams and
Renna Lee Lloyd all of Wichita
Falls; Lorena Williams, Bowie;
EttaRuth Goode, Austin; Veda
Mae Piersans, Germany and Jetta
Hight, Nurenberg, Germany; two
brothers, L. L. Chesher, Iowa Park
and Will Chesher, Littlefield; four
sisters, Mesdames L. H. Owens,
Electra; George Edwards, Joy;
Myrbelle Tims, Buffalo Springs
and Josie Whitley, Hentrietta: 24
grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.
The daughters who are in Ger-
many are married to service men
in the US Army.
A large number of friends and
neighbors from the Electra area
attended the funeral services.
