After alleging jurisdiction, plain
tiff further alleges that she and
defendant were married on or a-
bout December 5th, 1938; that she
lived with him as his wife until on
or about April 5th, 1939, at which
time they separated; that defen-
dant becan a course of harsh, cruel
and tyrannical treatment toward

The chapel of the Fourth Avenue
Methodist Church, Brooklyn, New
York, was, tile setting for rites per-
fonned Sunday, Sept. 8th in which
Miss Annette Swanson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Swanson of
Wichita Falls, formerly of Electra,
became the bride of Meredith Webb
offThomton, Ky. Rev. Harold H.
Clemons officiated at the double
ring ceremony.
The, bride was most attractive in
a brown stuit, worn with a brown
hat, white accessories, and a dain-
ty heirloom locket. She completed
her costume with a lovely corsage
of white glad’olus.
MisS Anne M. Tuinn of Brooklyn
served as maid of honor for the
’bride. She wore a gold suit, with
a gold hat, harmonizing accesso-
ries, and a cordage of salmon glad-
iolus.
John C. Webb attended his bro-
ther as best man.
Immediately following the cere-
mony, a reception for a few close-
friends was; held at the home of Lt.
Commander and Mrs. Modin.
The bride graduated from Elec-
tra High School and attended
Draughon’s Business College in
Wichita Falls. She is1 a member of
Delta Theta Chi Sorority. At the
time of her marriage she was em-
ployed as a secretary with the
North Texas Federal Savings and
Loan Association in Wichita Falls.
Mr. Webb graduated from White
sbury High Sch'ool, Whitesbury, Ky.
He served five years as a radio
operator in the United States
Army, part of which time was
spent at Albrook Field, Panama
Canal Zone. He was. separated
from the Army in Louisville, Ky.
January 4, 1946, and is at present
employed with American Airlines
at LaGuardia Field, N. Y.
The young couple plan to make
their home in Long Inland, N. Y.
If this citation is . not . served
within ninety days after the date
of issuance, it shall. be returned
unserved.

A brief statement of the nature
of this suit is as follows, to-wit:
This is a suit for annulment of
marriage wherein plaintiff alleges
that he and defendant were mar-
ried on or about March 24th, 1946
and that they separated on or a-
bout March 28th, 1946; that due to
plaintiff having served overseas
for 47 months in military service
and participated. in many difficult
and bloody campaigns, was wound-
ed several times which caused his
nerves to become shattered; he
was returned to the United States
and was treated in various' hospit-
als for psychoneourosis or mental'
disease due to shell shock and bat-
tle fatigue; that defendant.was a
nurse working in a California hos-
pital and recognized the incapacity
of plaintiff, fraudulently misrepre-
sented herself to be a high class
lady of decent morals; that defen-
dant persuaded plaintiff to place
his money in bapk as a “joint”
bank account, after the marriage;
that defendant withdrew all plain-
tiff’s money without his consent
and thereafer immediately deserted
and abandoned said plaintiff and
that his marriage to defendant was
a fraud and was with fraudulent
purpose on the part of defendant.
Wherefore plaintiff prays that
defendant be cited to appear and
answer this petition and that on
final hearing he have judgment
annulling and holding void said
pretended marriage and fir such
other and further relief’ to which
he may be entitled to.
If this citation is not served
within ninety days after the date
of issuance, is shall be returned
unserved.

A premiere showing of what is
heralded as the glamorous • New
Freedom Gas Kitchen will spot-
light the greatest display of gas
appliances ever shown at the State
Fair cf Texas opening ii. Dallas
October 5.
Marvelous appliances for home
comfort and convenience will be
shown in sparkling array in Lone
Star Gas Company’s stately build-
ing, officialsof the company an-
nounced. These are the gasi cook
stoves, heaters, refrigerators and
air-conditioners the industry has.
been planning during long years
of war. Now they are here and the
dreams conjured from the planners’
drawing boards will appear in 14
o-reat display rooms of the unique
building. The structure is identifi-
ed by a huge tower topped by_a
emulated blue gas flame done in
neon lights.
Four k.tchens, each distinct in
de ign and color, will be displayed.
One of the kitchens will show the
gas appliances in actual operation
and Lone Star experts will be-a- ■
bailable for consultation on menu
nlanning and meal preparation, and.
kitchen planning and designing.
All the kitchens will be complete
m every deta 1, from top of the
i-teel cabinets down to the linoleum
" "Vhe kitchens have been designed
by Servel, Inc., manufacturers of
the gas refrigerator. They are of-
fered as complete kitchen installa-
tions or in separate work units.
A cabinet cowl provides automa-
tic circulation ’ of air for removal
of greasy vapors, moisture and
cooking odors'. Other appointments
include a food conditioning cabinet
over the -refrigerator for crisping
cereals and. crackers, condiment
bays at convenient eye-level for
frequently used item-, and addi-
tional steel cabinets for storage of
cups, dishes and other small con-
tainers. ; . 1
The most magical jof all the new
gas wonders will be the all-year
gas air-conditioner that selects
heating, cooling or independent air
