The Louis Maloneys have a nice
looking garden and will soon be
freezing and canning. They will
also be putting chickens
home freezer before long.
The insecticides were used as
wettable powders and emsulsions
at various concentrations ( says
Haws.
Malathian emulsifiable concen-
trate diluted to two and % and
five per cent gave protection for
47 and 87 days, respectively. Riaz-
ion as a of one per cent wet-
table powder gave protection for
87 and 73 days, respectively. As
-an emulsifiable concentrate dilut-
ed to % of one and one per cent
diazinon gave 74 and 48 days pro-
tection, respectively.
Diazinon was used at one per
cent concentration only in barns
where extremely
poor and where there were numer-
ous nearby fly breeding areas.
